Perfect anniversary surprise
The hosts welcomed us with tea and cupcakes, a sweet touch. Our room was cozy with a chilled champagne for our anniversary. Breakfast was a standout with fresh fruit and a hearty full English. Only thing was that the Wi-Fi wasn't great in our room. Would definitely revisit!

Had an amazing time with friends! We explored York and took a scenic hike, enjoying our cozy room with little extras. Breakfast was delicious and the owners made us feel at home, like they really care about their guests. Perfect place to relax after a day out! Can't wait to return for more adventures.
Only downside was the small size of the parking area, which made it a bit tricky when multiple guests arrived at once.

The Newtondale room was super spacious and really comfy. The bed felt great, and I had some good nights' sleep. Loved the roll top bath too! They had cool little touches like fresh milk for tea and chocolates from a local chocolate factory. The bathroom had nice toiletries, which felt pretty fancy. Plus, the views were lovely with sheep grazing outside. Just ideal for a cozy getaway.
